Ikeh, an author and business writer, has a long record of interest and involvement in journalism training and media relations as well as energy and environmental issues.
Before his appointment as CEO/Managing Editor of Business Eye, Ikeh was the Chief Executive Officer and Lead Consultant of Fortworth Communications Agency and Editorial Consultant to Business Eye. The firm has national and international practice.
Apart from working for the News Agency of Nigeria for more than 28 years and retiring as Deputy Editor-In-Chief in charge of Business Desk, Ikeh had extensive experience with government and international journalism practice, including serving as press secretary to three finance ministers and working for international news wires and newspapers - Plats Oilgram, OPECNA, Pan African News Agency (PANA), African Press Agency (APA) and Star Group of Newspapers of South Africa.
A 1979 graduate of the University of Ibadan, Ikeh had served as trainer for the World Service Trust of the BBC and a consultant to a number of national and international firms, including Consultant to Enhancing Nigerian Advocacy for a Better Business Environment (ENABLE) on Business Journalism content development and Media Relations for Business Membership Organisations in Nigeria.
Author of the Nigerian Oil Industry (1991), Ikeh edited the book, Me, My Desert And I by Chief Newton Jibunoh (2001) and edited and published My Unforgettable Life Experience, an autobiography by Chief C C Okoye (2011).
Ikeh is a member of the Nigerian Union of Journalists and the Nigerian Guild of Editors among other professional and non professional organizations.
